Dernault has extensive knowledge in the hospitality industry, particularly within resort properties, with over 30 years’ experience to his name.
Denis started his career in 1980 after graduating from the Lycée Hotelier de Paris with a degree in Hospitality Management. Over the next 20 years he went on to develop considerable skills holding various food and beverage related positions around the world, working everywhere from Bora Bora to the Maldives, to Algeria and Ethiopia. Dernault first moved to Egypt in 2006, to take up the position of Executive Assistant Manager in charge of F&B, at the Domina Coral Bay Hotel, Resort and Casino. In late 2009 Dernault took his first role as General Manager at the Stella Di Mare Beach Hotel & Spa, his most recent position prior to joining Carlson Rezidor. In addition to his degree in hospitality management Dernault also holds several certificates and accolades from the Cornell University. A French national, Dernault speaks fluent French, English and Italian.
